Yes, Coding is hard, sometimes it can be very hard. Thankfully it can be just as rewarding.

Becoming a coder takes dedication and education (formal or otherwise); becoming a GOOD coder takes time and practice.

During my time as a programmer I've both admired the code of those who've been at it longer than me, and enjoyed the triumph of a problem in a new coding language solved.

Recently I had the pleasure of stumbling across two blog posts that sum it up perfectly and also serve to prove that the struggles I have are not "just me".

POOR, POOR CHILD. YOU HAVE NO IDEA. - Bryan Woods

I Have No Talent - John Nunemaker

These guys are great, they put perfectly into words exactly how mind bendingly hard coding can be, how hard it can be to be patient and trust that practice and time will get us there, and how hard it can be to not abuse ourselves for not getting there faster.

brilliant!
